We are currently seeking a skilled Clinical Assistant to join our team at PrimaMed, located in Zurrieq. This part-time position offers flexible hours to accommodate various schedules. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the clinic.
Clinical assistants are healthcare providers who assist medical professionals with patient management, basic diagnostic tests, and recordkeeping. They work at clinics, outpatient programs, or other medical facilities, ensuring a pleasant experience and a high level of care.
The Clinical Assistant needs to create a positive patient experience at the facility. In this role, you will be responsible for obtaining patient information and providing guidance on clinic procedures. You may also be required to perform minor diagnostic procedures and sterilize equipment.
To ensure success, clinical assistants should exhibit a proactive approach toward ensuring excellent patient care. Outstanding candidates have clinic administration experience and are able to follow detailed instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Creating a positive experience by welcoming and assisting clinic patients.
- Preparing patient files by obtaining personal and health information.
- Maintaining patient data records for evaluation and health insurance purposes.
- Performing minor diagnostic tests and procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Promoting patient safety by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Mediating between patients and healthcare providers.
- Guiding patients through the clinic’s various facilities and procedures.
- Setting up and stocking examination and procedure rooms.
- Sterilizing medical equipment and sanitizing designated areas.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Maltese and English.
- Strong customer care skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Proficient knowledge of computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with basic diagnostic tests will be considered an asset.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
