Dr Matthew Formosa M.D, MRCP(UK), MRCEM (UK) CCBST ED, is a Medical Doctor who graduated from the University of Malta in 2016. Matthew boasts extensive experience in both Internal and Emergency Medicine and is in possession of Memberships of both Royal Colleges. He started working in Family Medicine in 2021 and this stemmed from a desire to work within the Community and focus on Primary Prevention. He is currently finalising his studies in Family Medicine.
In addition to his clinical duties, Matthew lectures at both the University of Malta as well as Bart’s University and has published a number of studies and Guidelines both locally and abroad. He also partakes in Pre-Hospital Events. He continues to expand his knowledge by attending a range of courses and conferences. Matthew is an avid lover of food and particularly enjoys smoking meat and barbequing. He greatly enjoys countryside walks, kayaking and spending time with his wife and son and is a strong believer in the importance of having a good work-life balance.
He has now joined the PrimaMed team as a Medical Doctor and is looking forwards to continue to grow and flourish within the PrimaMed team.
